El asunto viene a colación de una entrevista a Jamie Dimon, consejero delegado (o CEO) de JP Mogan, que publicó ayer Fortune y en la que se le preguntaba sobre la posibilidad de que la economía estadounidense volviera a entrar en recesión. Su respuesta optimista afirmaba que la situación de la economía podría ser mejor de lo que la gente cree, y que muchos se sorprenderán cuando EE UU recupere su mojo:
Where are you on the odds of a double dip in the economy? You basically ruled one out earlier this year, but things have not been on an upward trajectory since.("mojo" agrandado para mayor visibilidad).
I don't think we'll have one, but no one knows. The American economy may be stronger than people think. At the root of my optimism is the sense that the embedded strengths of this country -- a lot of which reside in its business -- are still here. We work hard, we are innovative, we adapt quickly. It will surprise people when America gets its mojo back.
